We are thrilled to welcome Dr Dave Duggan to Barwon Endocrinology in February 2026.

 

Dr Duggan is a dual trained Endocrinologist and General Medicine physician. 

 

He completed his undergraduate studies in medicine at The University of Galway, Ireland in 2014. He completed his internship at University Hospital Galway and was awarded Membership to the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in 2017. 

 

Dr Duggan moved to New Zealand in 2015, working at various hospitals prior to moving to Hamilton to undertake specialist training at Waikato Hospital, a large tertiary referral centre. He was admitted as a Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2025. In 2025, he moved to Melbourne to work at Alfred Health and to complete his advanced training in General Medicine.

 

Dr. Duggan continues to maintain his professional development by attending endocrinology conferences, courses and lectures. 

 

He has a special interest in:

 

Androgen deficiency 

Osteoporosis 

Obesity 

Type 1 and 2 diabetes 

General endocrinology including thyroid,

adrenal and pituitary disorders
