Dr Shannon McCarthy is an Associate Endocrinologist who joined Barwon Endocrinology in early 2015. She has established an extremely busy practice and also has a bustling private practice in Launceston.

​

She completed her endocrinology training in Geelong as a Research Fellow and enjoys being engaged in the physician training programs at Barwon Health. She has recently taken up a role in the clinical trials as investigator in diabetes and osteoporosis related studies.

​

Dr McCarthy has admitting rights at Epworth Geelong Hospital for both Endocrinology and General Medicine and is a member of the BSWRICS Thyroid Cancer Multidisciplinary Team.
