Gill Prime | RN CDE
Credentialled Diabetes Educator 

Gill began her career as a Registered Nurse in 2013 after completing her Bachelor of Nursing with Australian Catholic University.

 

Her nursing experience includes surgical, oncology and general medicine.

 

In more recent years, Gill has worked in the Emergency Department at Ballarat Health Services as a Critical Care Nurse.  

 

In 2017, Gill completed her postgraduate certificate in Diabetes Education and Management with Deakin University. Shel has been working as a Diabetes Nurse Educator at Barwon Endocrinology since 2018, and became credentialled in early 2020 with the Australian Diabetes Educator Association.  

 

Gill has previously worked in Paediatric Diabetes, including work with Diabetes Camps Victoria and is a Certified Pump Trainer.  She loves learning about emerging diabetes technologies, especially insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring. 

 

Gill has a special interest in supporting those with diabetes in pregnancy which has driven her to successfully complete her Diploma of Midwifery in 2023.
