We are delighted to welcome Dr Esha Kathpal to Barwon Endocrinology!

 

​​Dr. Kathpal received a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2009 followed by a Year of internship.

 

She commenced her Basic Physician training in 2015 at Western Health, Victoria and has spent over 10 years working extensively in Victorian public hospitals - both Metropolitan and Regional. 

 

She completed her Endocrinology Training at Western Health, Barwon Health, Northern Health and Townsville University Hospital before completing her Fellowship at Barwon Health in 2025.

 

During her advanced training Dr. Kathpal was involved in Basic Physicians' Training teaching, research, conference presentations and actively participated in clinical trials. 

 

She holds a special interest in :

Diabetes and technology 

Diabetes in pregnancy

Metabolic bone disease 

General Endocrinology including thyroid disease, adrenal and pituitary conditions. 

 

Dr Kathpal continues to maintain her professional development by attending conferences, meetings and lectures.

 

 Outside of work she enjoys nature walks, swimming , badminton and spending time with her family.
